dreamdateuk is a UK based online dating site which offers Genuinely Free unlimited chat and live streaming! We also offer premium features including Videochat, Audiochat and profile enhancements which start at just £5.

There have been many issues in recent years with many online dating sites regarding all manner of questionable practices including being duped into signing up just to search profiles, ridiculously high monthly costs, fake profiles and the common scam of being advertised as ‘join for free!’. Yes, technically it may not cost anything to join, but you can’t actually do anything once you have ‘joined for free’ and that’s a scam!

On our site, we give you genuine information about our members. We tell you how many members there currently are on the site, we tell you the date a member joined and more importantly, the date they last logged on.

We can guarantee that every member on our site joined via our own registration page and that there are no fake profiles on the site.

By fake profiles we mean profiles that have been purchased from profile brokers, profiles that have been automatically or manually generated, profiles that have been transferred from other sites, profiles that have been hired, profiles that do not belong to real genuine people and profiles that are on the site but the person that the profile relates to has no knowledge of it.

dreamdateuk opened with zero members!  (Just like Facebook did).  How could it genuinely be any other way?  We populated our site with free memberships.

We also promise that we will never sell any of our members details to any other sites, as is commonly done nowadays.

Is unlimited chat really free?

Yes! Try us and see for yourself.

Why can’t I see some members profile information on their profile page?

They may have not completed their profile information or they may have not confirmed their email address.

Why did my acount get deleted?

Your email may have not been confirmed within three days. There may have been an issue with unacceptable content in your profile or someone may have reported your profile for a reason. We implement a strict zero-tolerance policy on fake profiles and fake images used in profiles but we always investigate profile reports before deleting a profile. Also, we may have found that you were not resident in the UK.

Why am I not showing up in the search results?

To show up in the search results, you need to comfirm your email address and complete your profile.

Why are my details not showing when other members view my profile?

This is because you have not confirmed your email address or completed your profile.

Why can’t I read other members About me section?

You have to complete your own ‘About me’ before you can read any others.

When I look at some profiles, there is a video playing in the background?

Yes, members have the option of changing the background image of their profile and one of the options is to add a YouTube video as their background. When other members view their profile, they will see the video that the member they are looking at has chosen. Video backgrounds can be used as a great indicator of what type of person you are.

If I add a video to my profile background, will other members who look at my profile be able to see it?

Yes, and its a great way of showing who you are. A video background can tell other members a lot about you.

I joined up on mobile but when I logged in on my laptop to confirm my email address, it takes me to the mobile version?

Yes, when you click the ‘confirm email’ link, it will take you to the version in which you registered. If you subsequently log into a laptop or computer, you will log into the desktop version.

I want to verify my account but don’t want my social media details being visible to anyone?

The social media verification box is purely to verify your profile details. No social media details are visible to anyone else.

I had 3 profile visitors and I looked at them but the visitor count is still showing 3?

The visitor count keeps a tally of all members who have looked at your profile and only reduces as you remove the members from the ‘Profile visitors’ page. Just looking at the members who have viewed your profile will not remove the visitor count.

I can’t find the Wall on Mobile?

Sorry, the wall is not available in the mobile version. We are looking into implementing this in the near future.

How do I change my password?

Mobile: Go to Settings in the left menu bar, click on the change password link.
Desktop: Go to the Settings link to the right of your profile image, click on Change password.

I added a photo to my Private section but it is showing in my profile??

Only to you! Nobody else can see your private photos. One reason why it may be showing as your profile image (to you) is because you have not uploaded a visible profile image. Note: You can send any photo, private or otherwise via messaging.

Age verification and how using a VPN can affect it.

Age verification is a legal requirement for UK based dating websites.

We understand that it can feel inconvenient, and we certainly disagree with its effectiveness, however, it is something we are legally required to have in place.

Our aim has always been to implement age verification in the quickest and simplest way possible, while still meeting all legal obligations, so we verify your age on the main homepage which allows full access to all areas/communities of the site.

In some situations, users may be asked to complete age verification more than once, or may notice that it does not always appear. This behaviour is usually related to how browsers, devices, and network connections handle cookies and sessions.

Common reasons include:

– Using private or incognito browsing modes

– Clearing browser cookies or browsing data

– Switching between different browsers (for example, Chrome and Edge)

– Switching between devices such as phones, tablets, and computers

– Opening links inside apps such as Facebook, Instagram, or email clients

– Browser privacy settings or extensions that block or automatically delete cookies

Age verification is stored at browser and device level and if that information cannot be retained, the site may treat a future visit as a new session.

A note regarding VPN usage

Some members have asked why the age verification screen does not always appear when they are using a VPN.

VPN services route internet traffic through different locations and as age verification requirements are applied based on UK access, if a VPN routes traffic from outside the UK, the verification screen may not be presented during that session.

Additionally, some VPN services rotate IP addresses or locations regularly. This can result in inconsistent behaviour between visits, depending on how access is being routed at the time.

For the smoothest experience on dreamdateuk, we recommend:

– Allowing cookies in your browser settings

– Avoiding private or incognito browsing modes
